Cyndi has been an RN for over 30 years and has worked in multiple areas in bedside nursing, education, cancer program development, & management. She currently is
after hours Clinical Administrative Supervisor for TGH and also travels teaching a variety of continuing education programs in oncology & palliative care as well as critical
care & pediatric/neonatal topics. She started RealNurseEd in 2000 and has recently expanded to offer “Cruise & Learn” educational offerings on cruise ships along with
her partners. Cyndi is a leader in coordinating the ELNEC Programs at TGH and leads the PCRN/PCRP Team, is Moderator for the PCRN/PCRP e-list, & is Editor of
the PCRN/PCRP e-newsletter. Cyndi has coordinated & taught all parts of the ELNEC Curriculums as well as a wide variety of other educational programs throughout the
United States. Cyndi has spoken at national conventions and was awarded the 2009 ONS Trish Greene Memorial Quality of Life Lectureship Award and was the closing
Keynote Speaker at the ONS Institutes of Learning in Tampa in November, 2009.
+ Cyndi is a member of ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) & is the national SIG (special interest group) Council Chairperson, past Coordinator for the
Acute & Critical Care SIG, and is running for Coordinator of the Home Health & Palliative Care SIG. She was also the founder & past president of
the Nature Coast Nurses Chapter of ONS (NCNONS) and is the current Communication Chairperson and is a past President and Newsletter Editor
for the Greater Tampa Chapter of ONS (GTONS)
+ Cyndi is also a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) as well as the Tampa chapter of AACN and is a member of the
Hospice & Palliative Care Nurses Association (HPNA). She is also a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) & the
Florida Organization of Nurse Executives (FONE)
+ Cyndi has been an ELNEC Trainer (End of Life Nursing Education Consortium) since 2002 and has taught the ELNEC Core, SupeCore, Critical Care,
Pediatric, & developed and taught a Neonatal version of the Pediatric program.

Nurse Manager after having been a Supervisor & Educator through TGH’s Clinical Resources. She continues educating nurses at TGH and helping to coordinate the
ELNEC Programs there. She has also joined RealNurseEd to help bring continuing education to nurses on board cruise ships!

Julie has been an RN for over 30 years and worked at TGH as a nurse for over 24 years before going to her position with the VA in Gainesville in 2009. She has been a bedside nurse, manager, educator, and after hours supervisor & educator. She was a leader in coordinating ELNEC programs at TGH and is now leader of the efforts at the VA. Julie has also joined RealNurseEd as an educator.
